Ok so now when I tried connecting to ADB again it keeps starting USB storage mode. What sucks more is that the USB menu app doesn't work (the screen just flickers for half a second).

Gonna factory reset again and re-run root...

I edited the file that came with the nookcolor-easyADB package in the usb_driver folder. In the android_winusb.inf file do a search and replace. Replace all instances of "VID_2080&PID_0002" with "VID_2080&PID_0004". Even if text follows the 4 - basically the 2's get changed to 4's and everything else stays the same. Then you have to manually reload the driver from device manager.[COLOR="Silver"]

Ok so when I ran the updated script it said it pushed "su" to the tablet. I then ran an adb shell and had a # prompt.

However, after rebooting and installing Titanium Backup, it says it can't get root. Going to dig around some more...

you need to run the command
adb shell chmod 4755 /system/bin/su
I forgot to add that command too lol. Fixed though,

Damn I don't want to factory reset again. Is there an terminal emulator apk download link you can give so I can manually chmod it?

***UPDATE***

Duh, can't mount R/W without root. Factory wiping again. This time I think we'll get close!!!
