Tethering to Droid x (cm7)

I'm using my triumph to try to tether to my Droid x .. I'm using the lastest build of cm7 and I'm using the built in stock tethering setup...on the Droid x it shows that the triumph is emitting 2 wifi networks named exactly the same..and after about 45 seconds of the x being connected it disconnects? ? Why does it .. is it because the mtu setting..

I got the tethering to somewhat work I just played with the mtu settings on both phones...
