From my understanding of my phone, you need a custom kernal that has overclocking enabled to push the clock on the processor up, otherwise it's soft capped.

I have setCPU working on my kindle but it does not give me the option to overclock it.

Overclocking isn't yet possible, but underclocking currently is, and it seems to be having some decent effect on battery life while not impacting perceived performance too much.

I'll play with underclocking later.
Only issue I've experienced so far was web site scrolling being a bit choppy and comic scrolling as well.
Seems for the comic if I dragged my finger slower, it was smoother, but a quick flick would be choppy.
I haven't even tested regular books yet. heh
With wifi on and screen brightness slider in middle, 3 hours finally showed the battery left move a little.
Brightness to minimum seems a little bright to me still.

The dev section is not for dev questions (even though that is how our current forum looks....)It is (supposed to be) for development and discussing development. Questions should be in the question and answer forum...which is why we have them.
