How I got this to work on my back up:
If you haven't deodexed
your ROM, You need to do this first.
You also need signapk.jar
( research it! )
1) Make a backup of your deodexed ROM
2) Your going to need the system
folder (from system.ext4.tar
and the boot.img - copy those to your computer.
Edit: All you need is the system folder.
it up = "ROM.zip" ( I used 7zip normal compression )
4) Sign the "ROM" zip with signapk.jar
, this is going to make the META-INF you need inside the zip to make the pdroid patch.
5) Patch the "ROM" zip with Pdroid Patcher and your ready to load up CWM and try the patch you made. (always remember to copy over the *RESTORE* just incase things don't pan out)
Don't use the "ROM" zip you made other than for making a pdroid patch. IT IS NOT A ROM, It will probably brick your phone! Don't ask me why, I'm not a ROM maker
Patcher 1.27 does not work with this method (for me anyway) - probably compressed incorrectly.
1.31 & 1.32 will create the patch needed, I got 1.31 to work on my note - 1.32 just hangs at boot up.
All you need is your system folder - you can also pull this off your phone with adb or copy it to your physical sd card
Remember! Your phone/rom must be deodexed first.
