Hi everyone,
I created this thread to keep the dev thread clean.
Basically, If you have something you want to post in the dev thread that isn't going to directly contribute to development of the rom, post it here instead. This includes all questions, all "Thanks for this, you're amazing!" posts, all "OMG Z IS BACK!!!" posts, and any other general discussion that doesn't belong in the dev thread. Also, if you have any related videos or links, post them here and I'll put them in the OP.

I might put up a list of FAQs later.

NEWS:
As we know, Z hasn't released an update on his ROM for a while. Meanwhile, FXP (J) has just released a CyanogenMod 9 ROM based on Android 4.0, which was a great Christmas present for all of us! Hopefully he'll have the download links up soon.
Why don't you check out the dev thread or the CyanogenMod Discussion thread, and for god's sake, DO NOT SPAM THE DEV THREAD!!!

DISCLAIMER:
This port is in its very first stage. Very little works. It is not stable for everyday use. Do not report bugs about data, wifi, bluetooth, etc because they are known issues. Read the dev thread a few times. This guide is only intended for testing purposes. If you don't understand any part of this guide, this rom is not for you. In other words, if you are a total noob, don't bother with this rom.

Installation Guide: (Thanks to X10B)
0. Prerequisites: Make sure you have unlocked your bootloader or you will receive flashing errors.
1. Get the latest FlashTool from the FlashTool thread. (http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=920746)
2. Download zdzihu's ICS package from the dev thread (http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1356580) and extract it.
3. Copy update_es209ra_ICS_alpha1_CWM5.zip to your SDcard.
4. Turn off phone and unplug the USB cable if it was connected.
5. Start FlashTool, go to Advanced > Bundle Creation and choose zdzihu's kernel.sin. (See the Links section for a quick tutorial)
6. Press flash and choose "Flash Mode".
7. Search for the newly created firmware (the one you've created earlier) and click OK.
8. Hold down the BACK button and plug in the USB cable. FlashTool should begin to flash it.
9. When FlashTool finises flashing, turn on your phone. When you see the trollface press VOLUME DOWN continuously, CWM5 should start.
10. Wipe Data, wipe Cache and wipe dalvic cache.
11. Flash update_es209ra_ICS_alpha1_CWM5.zip from your SDcard.
12. Reboot, and wait until it boots.
13. Donate to zdzihu.
I haven't tried that yet so tell me if I need to modify it.
Thanks to X10B for pointing out that I missed step 5.

Nicely done. Just letting everyone know that it doesn't matter if you have a locked or unlocked bootloader. Just create a ftf through the new flashtool which gives you the option to create a version for either. Running fine on my bootloader unlocked X10. No data though.

It's laggy as hell (not only on lockscreen ) :(
No audio at all (not even notifications) :(
Lots of reboots
Takes ages to startup
Wifi crashes :(
Music crashes :(
Bluetooth seems to be ok
Touchscreen works great and i think it's not laggy, the problem must be hardware-related.
Gallery shows black tiles (just put your thumb on the screen and the pictures should appear) :D

But if we consider it's an alpha version of an OS designed for high-end devices running on an old phone that started on 1.6 Donut... WOW it's really great!
Good luck Z!:D Good to see u back!:D

I've been testing it on my phone from yesterday & it's just awesome, many issues right now but very impressive for a first alpha release

I read the how to install post. I want to know whether getting into CWM 5 requires pressing Volume down button only or BACK button also works. The volume down button on my phone is broken.. :-(

Omg iris chill, there will always be some ignorant peebles, noobs and haterz talking trash.

I know, but I just can't take this situation any more.
It's so unfair to all those people working for NOTHING in return.
There are numerous threads talking about X10 development "dying" etc
and this is exactly the reason why.
Frankly, if I had the skills to do anything about the ICS port,
I would seriously consider sharing it only with a bunch of people that I know will truly appreciate it.
And this is one more reason why I admire and respect X10 developers:
they have to shut their eyes and ears to A LOT of cr*p.

    And to quote Alvin Brinson:

    Hey guys.... Know what?

Android developers who KNOW how to work on ICS and WANT to do so are... ALREADY DOING SO...

Please stop PM'ing everyone you can think of to "help port ICS!"... If a dev wants to do it, he or she is ALREADY doing it.

Latest post in the G2X ICS "development" thread just got on my nerves:

"We need a Kernel Developer to get the Touchscreen fixed.
If you can get xxxx to contact me, yyyy, or zzzz please do!
If not him find another kernel dev that can help because xxxx will not answer his Twitter or his PM's"

Has it OCCURRED to some of these people that it's a nuisance to constantly get PM'd and twittered by people begging?

I mean, ****..... it's not like you're DYING without ICS!!!
    4
There are a lot of people who respect and are grateful to the XDA community without ever posting, complaining or *****ing about anything.

I hope zdzihu knows that a lot of people are grateful to him and that he keeps up the good work for this community.

Trolls will be trolls, no one can do anything about them other than to ignore them.

Hope im included in that :p

plzzzzzzzzzzz neeed alpha 2 ,,,,,alpha 1 got soo many mistakes

and you be careful, it would be a shame if i was to slip on the floor and somehow manage to ban you the day of the release of alpha 2

    Just awesome review of ICS
