I'm opening a new thread just for my tweaked and mixed build of ICS. I didn't compiled it, all credits are going to the kwiboo, Koush and other developers.
Since the MIUI ICS is going to be released in couple of weeks, I just wanted to exercise a little bit and prepare myself for it.
What are you getting with this build?
Short said - optimized and tweaked AD-Free Build, Dalvik tweaks, SD Card Speed Fix, EXT4 Filesystem Tweaks, Busybox installed with the support for the init.d scripts and unsecure boot.img for the adb and fastboot access...
Usually you'll get around 1.200 Quadrants on ICS, with my tweaked Build you'll get:
Changelog:
28.11.2011 v6.
Three builds:
kwiboo v3 - only added my tweaks
Koush A11 - all of the previous fixes + my tweaks.
4G aosp - its the tweaked ROM with the working MMS app + my tweaks.
Adds: Missing ICS apps (Books, Thinkfree, some Live Wallpapers), lib_egl file
Fixes: Bluetooth, Exhange, Market issues hopefully solved, Gallery sync (if its not working for you wipe the data for the Gallery App and look under the Gallery settings if it only syncs on WiFi)
Few more performance tweaks
No need to wipe, just flash if coming from v4 or v4a
USB Mass storage working, ADFree hosts file, Market 3.13 from latest ICS Google Apps and removed lib_egl lib file for smoother interface.
If coming from v4 just flash. No need to wipe anything, but - you need to go into recovery > mounts and storage > mount usb. Then transfer the ROM and flash it.
When connecting for the first time it need some time to be recognized.
Adds: Full ICS Google Apps 20111122-4, Google Wallet (if its FC on your Phone you need to do a full wipe - Sorry), ICS System sounds, Live Wallpapers, ICS Google Music...
Fixes: Calendar and Gallery sync, Market not showing all apps (Bank of America), Apps FC with "Missing library file" error.
This is a mix of Koush's Alpha 8 and kwiboo's v2 ICS Build. I used the Koush's Build as a base and added the ICS Google Apps from kwiboo's ROM with his LatinIME Keyboard.
- If you are coming from the Gingerbread ROM, then format /system, /data, /cache, /boot partitions and flash the ROM.
- If you are coming from the another ICS build try to install at first without wiping anything, if you have FC's or issues, then you need to wipe the data.
- If you are coming from my mixed Builds, just flash.
- You might get "Random offset xxx" notification during the flashing procedure. There is nothing wrong, read about it here. (Thanks emjayes)
