Did that too, only I bought 2 gift cards instead of one. I've got twenty dollars to spend after Christmas, which makes for an easy/cheap stocking stuffer.

The only downside is that if I return the NT after buying it with gift certificates, they're supposed to give me store credit only.

Today only, December 12, Barnes and Nobel online is offering a $25 gift card if you buy a Nook with MasterCard.

Fine print says it may not be combined with member discount.

For my money, it's still better to use an Amex -- because of the five-year Embedded Warranty that comes automatically with the purchase.

I will be amazed if this thing is still made or is viable in 5 years.

For those who are broke and can't afford to spend $250 at once - QVC is selling the NT for $299 - comes with a $30 case and preloaded with 10-15 magazines

- the 299 can be paid in payments thus costing ~$65/mo with shipping & tax included.

Any good offers going this week? Planning to get one for Christmas and was wondering if there were any good offers for the Tablet.
