Well, found this

https://market.android.com/details?i...ightness&hl=en

EDIT: This app doesnt do a good job. Anyone know better?

For the softkeys backlight, now turned off with that app.

Now I just need a notification light app like Bebuzz on BlackBerry for the flashing lights to go nuts on a phone call

Wow that app makes phone super bright and lower dim than native adjustment. Nice find

You're on CM7, you don't need app for controlling backlight.
Settings -> CM settings -> display -> Automatic backlight
check "use custom", edit other levels
and here define desired values for screen and buttons backlight in certain conditions.

Feel free to click "thanks"

jeez, if you're on CM7 you clearly are missing out on half the features!

like said above, you can adjust ALL aspects of brightness levels, thresholds, etc (screen and buttons) in the settings -> CM settings -> display -> automatic backlight -> use custom / edit other levels.

as for LED notifications, that's in CM settings -> interface -> LED notifications. take an hour or so and just explore the CM settings menu. you'll be amazed at what you can do.

Yeah I had seen those options but didn't know what each thing ment. But some one posted a guide and I just copied his setup. I'm using most of cm7 features :-/ what ever happen to that kernel some one was developing that controlled the back lighting vultage? Cause when I was reading that thread they were stating how dimming screen with an app like super dim only put a filter over your screen to make it look darker but didn't save nearly as much battery as lowering the vultage to make screen dimmer using the kernel.
