I'm doing my best to maintain that list in this thread:

Without touting my own horn too much, it might be better to sticky a reference to that one?

There should be a name convention in threat posting. Compared to the HD2 forums this one is getting messy and hard to read.

Default Question

Hello ppl,

Quick Q, using the Gnex toolkit on a Gnex phone that has its bootloader locked, can I flash a Stock google firmware on it, or do i need to unlock the bootloader first and root it?

Im finding all this stuff to be overwhelming. I just got a nexus, my third android and it will be the first time I look into rooting and flashing and whatever.
But honestly theres just so many things, I really thought it would be easier.
roms, kernels, mods, radios, bootloaders, rooting, unlocking, nand backups, fastboot, clockwork, drivers and a bunch of other stuff Im leaving out.

Is all that stuff needed to just put something thats not so boring and limited as the stock android (Like CM10). Ive used go launcher in the past and found it really good, gave lots of extra options and couldnt possibly have been any easier to put on a phone but wanted to try this whole flashing thing cause apparently the nexus becomes so much better after. Every thread I go in seems to be just as complex as the last though. This is clearly not my domain.
