Default My Galaxy S2 LTE (i727r) is overheating!

Hey guys,

My Galaxy S2 LTE (i727r) is over heating like crazy at stock cpu settings. Its been over heating since I got it and the battery life is really bad (i get 8 hours max). How can I fix this? Should I call rogers for a replacement?

Thanks,
Arber

If your using the overclock kernel even at stock settings mine heated up. Flash the stock kernel back. If you are using the stock kernel yes definately do not hesitate to take it back

donations are never required. how ever I got laid off. and my car blew the engine. so anyone who does donate. I just want to say it is very much appreciated

Download a temperature app like Temp+CPU widget. Any will work. The temp it gives you is the temp of the battery. That's the temperature to worry about.

50 degrees celcius can kill a lithium ion battery. The phone itself can handle much more than that.

While it may 'feel' too hot there's a chance it's still in a safe range. And having an app to see where it's at could warn you and save your battery.

In the meantime you can get setcpu and set a temp profile to downclock the CPU when it hits a target temp. I have mine set to 44 degrees and to play a notification when that happens.
