Hi, you're holding it wrong. Patience. Did you wipe data/factory reset before flashing? retry that step and reflash gapps, if that doesnt work? have you been able to add an account after reflashing gapps, when it automatically prompts user to sign in to google services?

Try flashing once again:
- turn off your phone by removal the battery. Insert battery again.
- recovery.
- format everything (system, data, datadata, cache)
- flash ROM
- reboot
- recovery
- flash gapps.

People should LEARN that they always have to flash GApps after flashing a
CM7/ICS/CM9-rom, update, port or so (and empty cache en fix permissions).
That will avoid a lot of bull**** posts he mate?

Go to App Info and stopp the running Market and open again ...

EDIT: Better Explain: if you pull the app to the home screen, up comes an app info go on it and hit force close, and open again.

- Wipe everything (if you don't know what u r doing) or only cache / dalvik cache
- Flash rom
- Flash GApps
- Go to the ADVANCED menu item in CWM and click FIX PERMISSIONS
- Reboot
