you will need odin and an odin rom to flash in download mode. (vol down, power, home)

Pull battery, wait a minute or two and try it again. It MUST work. Never heard of a phone that really stucks at the first image.

I've checked the kernel diff and they seem quite alike. However, there are some other minor incompatibilities with the kernel that I wouldn't really feel comfortable with adding support for it.

Go to cwm -> mounts and storage -> format /boot

And then try to reboot, i am pretty sure you wont be able to go to recovery anymore as there is no recovery image and kernel on the system.

I can confirm this.
Happened to me a few days back when I formatted boot.
Fixed with clean flash jvt.
Can a kernel flash only fix?
