Default (MOD) Zipalign apks on every boot

push files using es file explore root explorer or root browser lite(this one lets you write to the external sd).

Ok /system/bin push the zipalign file here umm remove the .zip had to rename it to get it to upload.

Push s70zipalign here /etc/init.d you might have to creat this folder if its not there and make sure your rom/kernel support init.d, again remove the .zip

It logs what apps it has already zipaligned i believe in the /data so it isnt wasting time redoing them, if you delete the log it will redo them all.im running rena kernel on rooted 3.2.2 4gwith no real increase in boot time.

Credit gtg465x, i think darky wrote the script??????, if you want to use it in a rom or make a cwm give credit to that guy awesome dev to bad he doesnt have a xoom. Lol

Does this work for you?

I've found a slightly newer version of this script in the Galaxy Tab forums, but I can't seem to get it working: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1266735

I opened the zip and it has 2 files:

/system/etc/init.d/S70zipalign
/system/xbin/zipalign

I pushed these files to my Xoom using ADB, but it doesn't seem to work. I orignally thought it might be lack of init.d support with kcrudup's kernel, but it doesn't appear to work even if I execute it via root explorer. Maybe I'm not missing something. This is kind of over my head.

Suggestions anyone?

Thanks!

Worked for me, just had to modify the permissions on those two items to match the other files in those directories, zipalign.log was present/opened in /data.
Too funny...

I checked /data and found no log, but I didn't think about the permissions. I'll give that a try when I get home tonight, which kernel are you running btw? Also, do you have busybox installed?

From what I can tell, xbin and bin are nearly the same. It's just cleaner to put addons in there.
