Default [Q] Only 1/5 of the touch screen reacts

I think some water got in the phone between the glass and the casing.
Anyway, now only 1/5 of the screen reacts to touch (on the screenshot the marked area is non responsive).
Also the menu button doesn't work.

Would changing the touch glass solve the problem or are there more HW-parts involved?

There is no other phone like the Defy (small dimensions - great resolution) on the market so I'd like to fix it.

I just got a new touch screen/digitizer and the problem still exists. Could it be a problem with the mainboard? I also did a factory reset.

When I turn on the screen the following appears in dmesg:

Code:

<7>[ 439.199981] gpiofix: get_gpio_by_name(touch_pwr_en)

The exact part of the digitizer doesn't work for me either.
The only thing is that i had water damage and replaced both lcd and digitizer.
Did you eventually solve the problem ?
