If I want to go back to CM7 and I have blackrose installed with the 220/16/200 partitions, what would I need to do to get around the small cache problem when downloading apps from the market?

CM7 has that fixed already
MIUI, however, does not.

Main phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 | Stock unrooted (for now) Tablet: ASUS Nexus 7 | SmoothROM
Good info, thanks! I tried flashing the latest CM7 nightly yesterday and was running into the problem so perhaps I should have flashed a different version?

I personally don't know if that is true, that was what I was led to believe. Also, when I ran the CM7 ROM by Samuaz, I never ran into that error with 16MB cache.
Since a month back, I run MIUI and I had to go back to the stock hboot with a large cache partition as I couldn't download big apps.

for cm7 you just need dalvik.vm.dexopt-data-only=1 in the build.prop samuaz' version has that already thats why it works. a cm7 nightly will need that added or it wont boot because it will run out of cache space.

Camera preview - I know, again. Don't worry, not another bug report: worse! ;)
Hi, great work brilliant ROM - looking forward to the kernel stabling out
Is there any update on progress of camera preview?
As I feel this is probably the most noticeable defect in opengl (HWA) enabled ICS on 8x50 at the moment I'd like to know more and gain an insight into what's happening regarding fixing it
i looked into the camera issue last night. it seems the preview is actually working (see attached) but isnt being displayed correctly. still need to investigate more but it looks like it could be surfaceflinger causing this.

That is a HUGE step forward! This ROM might just enter beta stage once that preview is fixed
