Default [Q] Galaxy Note Charge @ 2Amps

So i have a Galaxy tab charger that outputs 2amp
Now at 1amp of galaxy note original charger it charges to 100% in 3 hrs
by using 2amp o/p it shud be done in 1.5 hr or so

The question is will it hurt my note battery and any damage to the phone?
(the phone is lasting for a decent day, heavy usage here and there n love the phone!!!)

DONATE TO ME
AC Charging curent is controlled by the power chipset and the kernel and is limited at around 600ma, i dont think the note will charge faster with a 2amp charger. But you can try anyway
The rich declare themselves poor And most of us are not sure If we have too much But we'll take our chances
Because god's stopped keeping score.

usb charger is a usb charger
with 5 volts power converter (from 240 to 5 eu...or 110 to 5 in usa) since the volt is the same...it would be oki...plus it would charge faster......but if wht lucian777 said is true...then it doesnt matter becuz it is being controlled from kernal

Exclamation Basic electrickery

2 Amps is the chargers maximum rated output. It can give this amount of power if the device demands it.
If the device only demands 1 Amp then the charger will not give it more than 1 Amp.
If it was a 10 Amp charger and the phone wants 500mA then the charger will only output 500mA.
If it was a 1 Amp charger and the device needed 2 Amps, then the device would not run because of insufficient power.

sorry to dig up an old thread, but i really need to understand how the charging circuit works.

if the above is true, why do people say that using a 2.1A charger (e.g. tablet) for the Note (which only needs 1A) will wear out the IC chip on the Note faster? If the device controls the output, then there shouldn't be any impact regardless of the current rating on the charger right?
