actually with the Bluetooth ODBII plug, a BT device (phone, nook color, iPad?ugh, etc) and the right software, it is pretty easy.

Bump for video! I'm thinking of doing this with my Dell Streak 7 and media dock (it has a power input and an actual line out; S7 has a decent-but-not-great screen and a Tegra 2, full size SD card, and can do T-Mo 4G), if I can somehow convince my wife that this is more prudent than selling it

Very nice install, by the way; super clean and professional looking.

Can you post the link to this component? I tried looking around on mouser.com and can't seem to find it. I was thinking that something like this might be able to be used with the Galaxy Nexus. Thanks.

Default The torque app

Hi all

I have got myself a nook and have dumped CM7 on with the torque app on it.
I am having an issue accessing the menu in the torque app to allowme to connect to a Bluetooth reader. I believe that this is due to the nook not having the 4 buttons along the bottom like most Droid devices. Does anyone have a workaround for this by any chance?

Thanks James

There is the app SoftKeys on the market. You need root, but since you're on CM7 you're already covered: https://market.android.com/details?i...droid.SoftKeys
It displays all the needed buttons onscreen.

Nice job on the Install!!

Im going to do something similar soon. But a little less permanent. What im really interested in is the software and the plug your using for OBDII info. Can you include a look of this in action in your video if you decide to post one?

Sorry for the delay in responding guys! I've been a little distracted with a forum upgrade and it's associated projects. I keep meaning to get a video taken, but time keeps getting away from me. The microSD card I was using has decided to get a little flaky on me, and I finally got around to ordering a new one, and should have it tomorrow. If I can get everything loaded back up and installed, I'll aim for video this weekend. As of this point, I should have time. Fingers crossed!
