Default External Battery (Energizer); Double/Triple your Battery Life.

Energizer XP18000 Universal AC Adapter MSRP at $180 (Amazon currently has it for ~$160).

At 4.5x7x1.6 inches, it'll complement your Kindle Fire very well by sticking it on the back of it (Kindle Fire is 4.7x7.5x0.45 inches).

It comes with a microUSB adapter, so no need to utilize Energizer's free tips program (of which you still have to pay ~$4 for S&H).

I use this for portable charger for primarily my laptop since I'm a commuting student, and some classrooms don't have plugs available; figured maybe someone wants one specifically for their Kindle Fire.

For that price you might as well just buy another Fire and when one goes dead turn the other one on.

I just bought another New Trent battery
(cant post links yet, but its the New Trent IMP70D)
It was on sale last week for $29.99. At 7000mah it should be able to charge the kindle fire more than 1.5 times and at $30 it was a steal and will definitely be useful on my next overseas trip.

So that Trent battery is 11000mAh at $99.95, or $9.09/Ah, and that XP18000 is 18000mAh at $179.99, or $10.00/Ah, retail price.

At discounted (Amazon current price), it's $7.00/Ah and $8.80/Ah respectively.

Trent 11000mAh battery is a better value for all purposes, for small electronics charging. If you want to charge other electronics, like laptops, you have to pay a premium (damn).

Where do you all work and go to school where there are no outlets to plug into?

The fire lasts 8hrs+ for me. If you use it heavy maybe a lil less, but still no need to carry batteries unless you are in a long plane ride or bus ride, etc where you can't plug anything in. Any job/school/house has outlets.

I think I personally made it clear in the first post.

If you want more details, I commute, about 4 hours a day. For that, and in-between classes downtime, I use my Fire, which is *generally* more than enough // not worth charging. My classes, I use my tablet PC, which lasts ~3 hours of battery life, hardly enough for one day of classes.

Depending on the seat I get, I might not have access to the outlet (or some classes straight don't have outlets; crazy they're spending hundreds of millions of dollars upgrading public image, but not classrooms; that's the current private higher education for ya), and I desperately need external battery for my tablet PC (e.g. the Energizer XP18000), since OneNote > Paper.

I have more than one device that I carry with me. With the battery and a microusb cable, I can charge all my devices wherever I am and whenever they get low on power and don't have to carry the a/c adapter and worry about whether the outlet is close enough or whatever.
