Default [Q] How to reload ROM?

Hi All,

I'm coming from an SGS2 where to reload the ROM via the bootloader, I'd hold POWER + VOL UP/DOWN.

I've done that with the GN but there doesn't seem to be any option to 'wipe data' as there was in the SGS2' bootloader but just the ODIN and Recovery modes.

So I figured I probably had to download the GN ROM, which I have. I have also unlocked the bootloader incase that had to be done.

Now I just need to know how to actually do a 'hard factory reset' of this device?

Thanks.

When I select recovery, there is a picture of a droid lying on it's back but there are no menu items as such, it's almost as though it's gone into 'download' mode?

it sounds like you never installed a custom recovery.

Sorry for my ignorance.

So does this mean that CWM replaced the stock bootloader, and that CWM has the ability to do a 'hard factory reset' back to Google's stock ROM within it's menu?

Is that the way it works?

I used to have the stock samsung bootloader on my SGS2 which, when I went into it and did a 'factory wipe' it would hard format the phone back to it's 'out of box' state. Is this what CWM does?
