Default Works... sorta.

I rooted my Sprint Galaxy Tab 7 and am now running ICS, but the bottom bar is annoying on a tablet that already has soft buttons. This app does hide the bottom bar, but here's the weird part:

It kills the wallpaper! Seriously, the background goes black when hiding the bar. The wallpaper, and not necessarily the one I had set, returns about every third time I unhide the bar.

I guess if I come up with an LCARS or Android7 layout for my revived tablet-- this can work. I'm just glad this thread showed me a free version of the app. It would have sucked to pay for it and find out it didn't work right!

I also have the wallpaper issue. But it is noted in the apk description that a fix will be provided. So far, for me, it works well, also the invisible back button.

I actually just flashed CM10 Jellybean, and that puts the standard notification bar back at the top without the on-screen soft buttons at the bottom. It hides as normal with the launcher setting. Much better.

I'm on CM10 too but haven't tried this tool yet. Please let me know if you're experimenting any issue with the wallpaper. Thanks.

The "Hide Bar" app is not needed for CM10 for the Galaxy Tab 7" (original). This version of Jellybean has the standard notification bar at the top of the screen, which hides correctly simply through a setting on the launcher.

Therefore, using CM10, I no longer use "Hide Bar".

I've found a combination which, for me, solved the status bar "issue". I installed the latest version of hide bar, which, so far, seems to be less buggy and the Button Savior apk. In hide bar apk I selected in "method to show the system bar... "none--also known as kiosk mode"... and the Button Savior is doing the rest.
A picture is better than a thousand words...

LE - The wallpaper problem still exist. For Live Wallpaper, which is displayed without any problem, i use WP Clock2.
