People widget not updating

Perhaps I am missing a setting somewhere but it seems that my contacts widget is not updating with twitter, even when I refresh it. How do I get this to update? This is the widget I'm talking about:

did you turn on auto sync? or google + sync.
or did you get new text message's or not?

if its not google + related(the message's) than its text message related.thus not refreshing until you get a new text?(i supose)
