Default (Q] any success on external antenna?

thought about the half assed twist tie method but I can't seem to find q more stable and secure method such as a fme cable to plug right in. any advice?

My antenna stopped working so I replaced it with a 24 centimeter 20 or 24 gauge stranded copper wire with a flat piece on copper soldered on the end . I just sandwiched it between the old antenna base and the phones 3g terminal. also works with rg58 cable and a direct connect amp. The 3g antenna is on the bottom left hand side of the phone.

Also the connector on the back of the phone is the Hirose ms-156.
