i came across a very interesting article on Sony Ericsson Product Blog... SE seems to be working on ICS and outlines what all goes on to get stuff to work...

i have posted it here (in development section) as i think it will be useful for users to make them aware on what all goes on in development for new OS version release...

also do keep in mind that even the device manufacturer (SE) has to do so much work; so u can only imagine the amount of work/efforts the devs (here at XDA and other android forums/portals), who are working on sources, are pouring into making this work for the community...

Thanks DOOM for the link. Its very interesting how SE is doing Customer to company communication and they have taken a very strong step to make sure they talk to their customers in any ways that they could.
Article expands in very steps of the process to get ICS on the SE phone and they are very easy to understand even for noobs(like me+) to get the bigger picture.

While I think SE is working hard but lets remember what FXP team has done to keep our phones alive in darkness of 2010 and I strongly believe that they need some recognition of their work.(Including You Mr. Doom)

Yes 2010 has been a poor year for SE but it looks like they are working hard to make things right. They listened to us and now they understand what we really want and who we really want. Them. I have loved SE from the beginning of time and I still do. Thank you SE. I know your reading this. Keep up the good work and I know with you working with our developers you will succeed. And that's what you and us want. Once again SE. Thank you for the amazing devices and now the cooperation.
