Wow. Didn't know preludedrew was still working on this. Its not bad so far a couple reboots but that's not doing anything to the from itself other than downloading apps or themes. Got s-voice to work now. But why does the cm9 never have cm custom setting like gummys or aokp?

Check out TEAM D.I.R.T's ICS roms. Papa Smurfs CM9 is a pretty straight forward but extremely fast and customizable rom. I would also check out Mazda's Paranoid Android or RemICS-UX. All are easily the best ICS roms I have ever used on my evo.

So you, and others, would like to see more of a stock and stable ics?

Absolutely. A focus on making things work properly (IMO) is better than a focus on making something customizable. What good is customization if the phone can't stay on to see any of it?

Was there ever a way to get the FFC working?

It is a lack of drivers issue, that will likely never be remedied.

Ok thank you. My wife wants to take her GB Evo to ICS but she uses the FFC...so I guess she has a choice.

About time for a new device,IMHO. I gave up on evo4g development last month and went to Note 2. Most of the big good roms have given up on og evo.
