Exclamation SAMOLED Burn in !

Hello XDA users !!!

Just noticed a thin long black line (vaguely seen) running from top to bottom of my screen on total black background i.e Grey (as it turns off all pixels and making the image more brighter on a black background but it's grey & can be noticed on a terminal with green on black option) and similar spots on my SAMOLED screen but there's no problem with the pixels all of em are 100% healthy. The images are clear, vibrant & bright but still this flaw/disadvantage is bugging me..!

And we all know that SAMOLED and SAMOLED Plus displays from samsung are extraordinary & superior over the AMOLED's, LCD's , HTC's RGB 720P AMOLED(Rezound as explained in Engadget's review) as Super AMOLED advantages are brighter screens, less sunlight reflection and reduced power consumption (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_AMOLED) but after this experience and some googling i had just discovered that sooner or later maybe all the SAMOLED or any type of AMOLED display users are goin to face this issue/burn-in and even the display will change like this .
but that's an intermediate stage of burn in .

Hope this info was helpful and there is no fix for this unless you get your screen replaced when this chaos x( happens to your phone...

Please report if any one's noticed the same.

Correct me if i was wrong ...!

Hi, I havent noticed any burn-in´s, but I´ve noticed those lines coming from top to bottom. For me it is the most noticeable on white background. I thought that the framerate is lowering down. Also it can be caused by CM7, will try in couple days to reflash back to SammyRom to see if it happens too.

I doubt that's a burn in unless if you have a background with a line running from top to bottom. Burn in looks like artifacts that appears often on your screen, such as the digits for the clock on the status bar.

DONATE TO ME
i run a BLACK theme, and even so i still got the status bar and its icon burned in on my Nexus S

good thing is, it's not noticeable unless you put a full white or full grey background on the screen

it's very easy to check with screen test

Donation is appreciated but not required, a cup of Coffee would suffice

Yep, you are correct. Indeed i did mention that all pixels of my display are working properly & that weird problem made me to analyze, post a thread in here that could help many SAMOLED users to seek out any issues before hand with their precious devices

First of all, AllGamer (Moderator ) thank you for your response .
So, all these point out that our SAMOLED's are at a very high risk and even though you had a black theme your Nexus S but still it getting burn in.....
that's very sad .

by the way that app can't be tested on ICS .
