Why wouldn't someone go and download the official gapps package at http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip?
Cyanogen was asked by Google to not include these [in their rom], but most people flash gapps right behind their CyanogenMod install.

Fair enough. Thanks for the compilation(s). Hope they solve some people's data problems.

Because they had errors when using alquez's cm 7.2 port. Most files from here are from a HTC wildfire s rom.

No errors here with the latest gapps package.

Ran CM7.2 package
Gapps package
remove app2sd package

Booted up got the google account sign in.

Got the pub.google option, etc..

Up and running with all my stuff installed and wifi still running... (crosses fingers)

Same here, nothing wrong with the gapps package at all.
Got them from the link in Alq's thread.

Maybe not for you, but some people - like myself- have had data problems with market, gmail, etc. This is for them if you don't want it don't get it

I had data issues too, but it was definitely specific to the earlier build.

Latest build is perfect and fully stable.

For me anyway.

only wupload, deposit files and fileserve download links are working, just letting everyone know.
