CM7 Port Discussion / Troubleshooting

Thanks to pm and idea of benjamingwynn, I've created this post to move stuff unrelated directly to porting (installing, troubleshooting, camera brightness, suggestions here)
CM7 DEV thread became really cluttered with massive information, which, let's say it - was not really helpfull.

Usefull information:
In cause someone does not know (it's ok ) the console way to achieve permissions like on attached gps.conf file is:

adb remount rw system
adb shell chmod 644 /etc/gps.conf

You can batch change permissions by issuing for example

adb shell chmod  644 /system/lib/lib*.so

But i strongly advice not to change too many libs at once

Also be sure to check out this great tool:
QtADB
This tool is great frontend for getting logs and replacing multiple files in system (don't forget to fix permission by hand)

Okay so about data2sd. If you want it your going to have to do the following :

1. Download cm7.2 port by alquez
2. Download data2sd installer here
3. Factory wipe then install cm7
4. Back up SD card
5. In recovery go to advance -> partition SD card -> 1024mb
6. Install data2sd
7. Boot into cyanogenmod
8. Restore SD card stuff if anything went wrong
9. Enjoy and click thanks if I helped

I have issues with flash player only playing streams like slide shows. USED TO WORK ON CM7 BETA ONE.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'd like flash to work like it did in 7.1.0 it was pretty much perfect.

I have no idea what changed but if I still have the old build I'm gonna try compare them over the weekend see if I see something.

Probably kernel source update, i'll look into when i manage to get some time.

hi guys i have been looking at the build.prop and noticed that

debug.sf.hw=1

is missing and from what i have read online that line it needed for the UI to render in the GPU properly and if its missing the UI get rendered in the CPU if that is true why is it missing from the cm7 port and also the stock sense roms and these commands in the build.prop are meant to Increase overall touch responsiveness.

debug.performance.tuning=1
video.accelerate.hw=1
