I've flashed maguro build 20 already. Before rooting,unlocking and flashing the phone is YAKJUXW but now is YAKJU. All the GNex in my country is YAKJUXW so I need YAKJUXW to get my warranty. How can I do that?

I am not quite sure if I have missed anything, but there are some error messages coming up:

E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log

So far, I have:

1. Install Galaxy Nexus Drivers to your PC
3. UnLock your Bootloader
9. Boot to CWM Recovery without Permanently Flashing it

Should I perform 4. Root your phone between Step 3 and 9.

Your feedback will very much be appreciated.

To perform a NANDROID backup via cwm your phone needs to be rooted first. If you are unlocked then you can just select the root option and once its complete you can then boot into cwm and do your backup.

Your NANDROID will of course backup your root files but 'I think' if you restored the image and then locked your bootloader and unlocked it again (thus doing a full wipe) it may unroot the phone in the process but I have never tried it.

Yes thats the correct procedure.

Which backup file are you refering to?

The root process copies superuser.apk and su binary across to your phone and then sets their correct permissions. On the next boot superuser will be installed and you will be rooted.

Before I select backup & restore under the insecure CWM, should I:

1. wipe data/factory reset?
2. wipe cache partition?
3. Advance - Wipe Dalvik Cache?

After the insecure CWM back-up is completed, what steps do I need to take to pull the file out from the phone?

There is no real need to perform a factory reset before backing up.

The cwm backup is saved in a date stamped folder to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backups

Is the File Expert by Geek Software Technology Inc sufficient for an average user?

When you plug your phone into your pc you should be able to view the phones sd card with your Windows Explorer and copy the folder across.
