I have a photon with the 2.3.5 im just trying to root it so i can ise the internet for my DJing program? Need a good way i have tryed to root it and look all over the forum...

can anybody help here?trying to unlock the bootloader.....everytime i try to extract the sbf the one to unlock(depunlock0 doesnt show up.its in the zip just wont extract...what am i doing wrong? please help!!!

EDIT: sorry, found my issue...didn't catch the 7zip notation ...

EDIT : my prosesser is not compatible with 7zip. Does anybody know a way for me to get depunlock sbf.. really want to unlock bootloader. Thank for any help.

i just got my photon.
the build number is 4.5.1A-1_SUN-198_6

i tryed to flash the sbf file but i got an error massage.
do i need to do something else? i'm getting an update massage 45.4.12.en.US
do i need to update it before unlocking ?
an i have root.

all's good.. the RSD lite did an error, but i manually rebooted the photon, and countued the process and i'm unlock now!

Thank you for taking the time for putting all of this together. I do not personally own a MoPho, but I rooted a friends a long time ago. He decided it was time to get away from the stock software this thread helped me make sure I knew what I was doing.
