The screen is just hideously bad.

My screen doesn't have severe purple tint issues but graininess is just out of control. Is is supposed to look like total **** on low brightness settings? I guess it's just how Pentile screens look like since even my old Nokia N8 totally destroys it even though N8 only got nHD screen. The screen is million times more clear.

For me Nexus is almost unusable on low brightness. It's a huge shame because otherwise the phone is really great.

Yup. Sammy f*cked up with the Nexus's screen.

Graininess is to be expected, especially on white and gray colors. Banding, too. Basically, the entire screen will look like a canvas

Well don't be. SGS2 may has better hardware and display panel, but it lacks Jelly Bean. I can't imagine myself going back to Ice Cream Sandwich, leave alone Ginger Bread.

If it's possible, just fine one you can live with and enjoy the pure Google experience. Otherwise, wait for the next Nexus thing.

The only two gripes I found on Galaxy Nexus were the crappy display quality and the stock keyboard. Wish Google would come close as iPhone keyboard which has more accurate and faster typing without the spelling correction, suggestion, and auto complete turned on.

Am still waiting for the perfect Key Lime Pie.

Nope we just want a decent screen. Some peoples screens are quite bad. My first nexus it was blatantly obvious even in daylight.

*Sigh*

So, Samsung forces me to send Nexus #2 back for *repair*, not instant replacement because it was outside the original 14 day window. They have had the cell phone almost a week, and today I get an email saying my repair is being delayed because they are waiting for a part.

Seriously Samsung?

that's samsung. i bet they are channeling their resources to support the galaxy s3 and the upcoming galaxy note 2. leave galaxy nexus to china and vietnam production.

does anyone here get nexus made in vietnam? is it better than china?

This is a great thread! I've seen nothing like this elsewhere.

Funny thing is, I always thought I was seeing things, with the really dark black splotches. Nice to see I'm not delusional!

I've noticed after about 8 months of use, my display is beginning to have "Image Retention Issues".

To be honest...Yes I think this is a bit annoying and unacceptable. But the fact is, it doesn't really bug me unless I have my brightness set to zero, which isn't that often...

Now the real problem is the radio. Complete junk compared to motorola.
