Default Trexell $19.99 extended battery on Amazon

Anyone have this battery? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005YF...3987094&sr=8-2
Just wondering as it is shipped from USA and seems to get decent reviews.

I'm the one who posted the review about not being able to use the kickstand with the phone. There is not a cutout below the kickstand like the OEM cover has, and there isn't a notch on the side where the kickstand opens. Another person posted they had no problems getting it open. Maybe they have razor thin long nails then? Or there is a different revision of the back cover that they received? It shows the kickstand area close in picture #4 and you can tell there isn't the cutout like the OEM cover.

That being said, with the couple of days I used it, using a battery app (I used the one that Mugen has for their batteries) the battery itself seemed to work fine.

"Work Fine" meaning... what? On par with the stock Motorola battery? Better than the stock Motorola battery? I'm curious if I can get a few more hours out of this than the Moto battery to get me through the day...

I -just- got one of these on Xmas eve. The battery life is great, but I'm still in the conditioning phase. Yes, I agree that it doesn't have the cut-out to get at the kickstand - what you should do is press at the opposite end (where the hinge is), this will pop out the other end (the bit it sits on), and you can pull it out. It'll seem awkward at first, but it's really no worse than what you were doing before. The back seems reasonably sturdy - but probably slightly less so-long term than the original. It's made from a similar material, and feels nice in the hand.

It -does- have the same issue with battery level display as other extended batteries (Seidio, etc). I believe that this is an issue with Motorola's software - I'd love to hear from someone on CM7 who has one whether this is a hardware issue, or a problem with MotoBlur roms (software). Either way - please join me in writing/calling Moto to ask that they fix this in their next (hopefully ICS) update.

So far it's been a fantastic gift and good value for money. I'll update here if I find a workaround for battery reporting / my battery life goes up/down-hill.

Hope that helps.

UPDATE: (all information below is -with- the extended battery in).
After allowing it to discharge fully (as per the instructions that come with the battery), the following occurs:
Plugging it in to the charger while off produces the familiar red Moto logo, followed by a battery symbol with a question mark in it, and a red notification LED. It WILL NOT charge in this state, nor will it power on from here.
Plugging it in to my Samsung G-Tab charger allows it to boot. Upon booting it displays the message "The battery in this phone is invalid and will not charge. Please insert an original Motorola battery." It then refuses to charge - but the power level doesn't drop either while plugged in (either to the Moto or Samsung charger at this point). Unplugging from the charger and plugging back in produces the same message and results.

Conclusion: Moto doesn't want you messing with their stuff - at all. I'm going to either have to return this (and my Photon hopefully), or buy an external wall charger. Very frustrating!
The battery itself is fine and dandy, good quality, good life so far, but the incompatibility with Motorola is a deal breaker. Thanks Motorola. Thanks so much.

UPDATE 12/17:
Can someone who's on CM7 and has a non-stock battery tell me if they're having any issues charging? I'm considering unlocking and trying this out with CM7 - since it seems to be a software lock by Motorola.

I've had the TREXCELL battery for approx. 6-8 weeks now.No problems w/the battery life,12-14 hrs of light-moderate use.Just recently began experiencing issues w/the ?mark in the battery notification icon & related pop-up regarding compatibility w/non-MOTOROLA battery.

I've found this to only happen when swapping back & forth between the stock battery & the TREXCELL battery.
After trying a couple of re-boots & experimenting on plugging in/disconnecting while on/off will get the phone to again recognize the TREXCELL battery & allow for normal use/charging.
