Oh dear, if Kindle app still doesn't work properly then no point upgrading because that is my main use for the MediaPad.

In fact, it would be like a downgrade..

From the german MediaPad forum....

Re: ICS International Version - V100R002C002B008
Welcome to "kindle":

Source: xda-developers - View Single Post - apps and features not working with the unofficial ICS 4.0.3 update
...
Amazon Kindle (v3.3 and up) not working: all books content (text & graphic) is blank.
(It's working on this prior ICS beta leak)

Now using old v3.2 and working well (but of course, is less pretty font and no PDF support).
...

Kindle in version 3.2.0.35 works.
Attached Files Kindle_v3.2.0.35.apk (3.52 MB, 22 views)

also looked on the internet, and many other devices seems to have problems with different versions of Kindle, so it may not even be a problem of the beta ICS for MediaPad..
Samsung Galaxy S - ICS 4.0.4 -Elite 10.1 + Devil 15.1 LED2 kernel
Huawei MediaPad - ICS 4.0.3 International (official) ROOTED

from my opinion the ICS launcher in this version (Int b008) is not better/worse than the others that were released so far for MediaPad..
i tried use Apex. Yes, it faster, but look like a phone launcher(size not optimized for tablets). May be in apex's settings there is tablet mode?

Have you tried Nova? I've been using it for the past month or so and it is quite nice.

HTC Rhodium (wifes)

Question: you flashed the original rom or the root ready one?
I flashed the original one.
So, what can I say after the day of usage: one reboot (couldn't wake it up, after the screen was turned off when angry birds were running, which has never happend with 3.2). The screen can't be rotated when playing some games (probably the same thing was on 3.2... not sure). When the screen is turned off and power save mode is activated (3G is ON), battery consumption never goes lower than 100mA (had 15mA with 3G turned at honeycomb). Launcher defenitely needs to be replaced with something else (will try Nova or flex as been adviced in posts above). Will monitor the situation and post some news soon.

i tried Nova, but had exacly the same feeling as tegozu had with Apex
maybe i just need to fiddle a little with the settings, because Apex can be nicely configured to my taste.. oh and one more thing.. are you using high res mode, or the standard one?
thanks

I'm running in high res mode.

Nova is quite configurable so much so that it took me a bit to get it setup the first time.
