no it was not working

My loud speaker stopped working 4 months after purchasing it. My wife likes to use it to listen to music without headphones. We are spending 6 months in Peru so their was no other option to fix it other than to replace the speaker. I had purchased a Nokia phone but it died so I took the speaker out of it and replaced the Quantum's. It is not as loud not but it works and was free. I had to heat up the tip of a screw driver to use as a soldering iron. The speaker is in it's own separate easy to remove module. Really easy to replace if you could purchase just that module.
