I saw that, but they directly told me that it's the one I want. So I've kept their emails and if they send the wrong one, they'll be taking it back and refunding my monies. If there was a GSM version dock that someone was selling and shipping now, I'd consider buying that instead, but it seems like it's backordered everywhere so I might as well wait for the folks that I ordered it from first (and for the cheapest).

I appreciate the heads-up though.

Here is the transcript of my conversation with Fommy.
Quote:
Casey Primm:
Details on Galaxy Nexus vehicle mount.
Call accepted by operator Agent 2. Currently in room: Agent 2, Casey Primm.

Agent 2:
Hello, how may I assist you today?
Casey Primm:
I have a question regarding the Galaxy Nexus car mount listed on the site
Casey Primm:
There are two different models, the Verizon and the GSM, which are very different
Casey Primm:
The description is of the GSM dock, but the part number seems to be from the Verizon dock
Casey Primm:
I would like to know whether this is the model I am looking for before ordering
Agent 2:
This dock is designed to work with both the GSM and LTE versions of the Galaxy Nexus. Samsung has yet to issue a new part number for this product which is the reason for this discrepancy
Casey Primm:
Is this the version with the pin connectors, or the one that requires the charger to plug directly into the phone?
Agent 2:
This has the 3-pin connector on the mount
Casey Primm:
Thank you very much
Casey Primm:
If it somehow turns out to be the wrong model, will it be eligible for refund?
Agent 2:
Yes, you can return the product for a refund or exchange within 30 days from delivery
Casey Primm:
Thanks for your help, I will be ordering soon!
Agent 2:
You're welcome, hope you have a wonderful day!
They seem to be pretty sure they have the right thing, so I'm willing to give it a shot, especially at that price. Worst case scenario, I have to send it back.

Be careful what you wish for. If it changes, its more likely to be later rather than sooner.

Fommy is touting January 23 as the ship date, so I guess nobody knows what's going on. Another site even listed the thirteenth.

Fommy had it as December 23rd. They changed it to January on that date.

Aussies can get it at mobicity.

Edit: Ordered and waited a month then cancelled the order after copious excuses.

I will be able to post links... soon.

Edit: Price is AU$79.95 - Availability Mid Jan.

Looks like the real deal to me. I'll let you know when mine arrives.

Cheers,

-Joe-B^)

If someone gets a dock with the 3-pin connector that works on the US LTE/CDMA (Verizon) Samsung Galaxy Nexus, PLEASE PM me, and let me know where to buy it. Thanks so much!

FYI, in case anyone is interested, the car holder (the official one from VZW) for the Droid X(2) fits the GNex perfectly.

You have the take the dock apart and pull out the USB plug, else it will stick up. You also have to take out the "case insert" thing that Moto put there for DXs with cases. If you do that, then the Nexus fits perfectly, power button down.

Obviously, this does the same thing that the official VZW nexus dock does, and won't actually car dock. But if you have one lying around like I did, at least you can have the same functionality until the official dock comes out.
