Default [BOOTLOADER] update [1.1 to 1.2](no longer need root) (updated 6/10/12)

this guide is to update your bootloader from 1.1 to 1.2 ...
i am not responsible for any issue you have ( please report them and i will try to find a fix) or bricked tablets
i assume you know how to and have used NV flash before ( if you haven't then go here http://viewsonic-gtablet-for-dummies...om/nvflash.htm )
you no longer have to be ]rooted

NOTE: even tho you are using NV flash to go back to stock, the stock ROM wont boot ( gets stuck in boot loop)

1. download the following: NV flash stock ( no CWM)1.1BL http://www.mediafire.com/file/48roks...lash%201.1.zip NV flash stock (no CWM)1.2BL http://www.mediafire.com/file/0rgkcd...lash%201.2.zip NV flash 1.2BL (CWM) http://www.mediafire.com/file/brd9u4...20cwmv3028.zip
2. boot into into APX mode ( power on and volume (-)) ( remeber the screen will be black)
3. take the downloads from earlier and put them on your desktop and un zip them
4. open NV flash1.1 ( no CWM) then double click nvflash_gtablet.bat and follow on screen instructions. then reboot ( when finish) ( if you get stuck in a boot loop thats ok, go to step 5.)
5. open NV flash1.2 ( no CWM) then double click nvflash_gtablet.bat and follow on screen instructions. then reboot ( when finish) ( if you get stuck in a boot loop thats ok, go on to step 6.)
6. open the folder that has NV flash 1.2 with CWM then double click nvflash_gtablet.bat and follow on screen instructions. then reboot ( when finish) ( again you most likely not be able to boot into the stock rom, go to step 7)
7. find a ROM thats uses bootloader1.2 and boot into CWM and install the ROM

known issues
the first time you boot into CWM it might not work( gives you an error)
fix: repeat step "6".
if you want to be on the safe side, do steps 4-6 twice ( do it then reboot, then do it again) ( it would be to just make sure all files where copied over and updated properly) (that should only be required on step 6, if there is an error)

I'm not sure the point of this...it may confuse some.

The original post of Flashback Update has all the instructions.

I also thought that to nvflash in APX, you don't even have to be rooted.

everything spelled out in the download packages:

Do you need THIS for your Infuse?

You should not do THIS without one of THESE.

What does this buy us? I'm on 1.1 and haven't seemed to need to update the bootloader?
