No, there isn't going to be a 3G version.

Just get a phone with wifi hotspot, saves you having to take out a data only deal for the TF.

I know this might be a dumb question, but someone in another thread said u couldn't do that. I was hoping to use my rooted Evo as the wifi hotspots. So I can....?

Ok, maybe I am not getting the sarcasm here. But can I use the wifi tether on my rooted Evo to connect to the prime? Or is this a 3g signal and the prime doesn't have the proper hardware/software?

Thanks

I agree with what others said.

Honestly, no point in having a 3G version, especially if you have an Android.

I use WiFi tethering all the time with my T-mo Sensation. Speeds are ridiculously fast and with the screen turned off on my Sensation, I can tether for about 6-8 hours of CONSTANT use (like watching NetFlix movies) before the battery goes dead.

I like not having to pay an additional fee for something I already have. T-mo doesn't charge you extra for tethering. AT&T and Verizon do. If I had AT&T or Verizon, then I might be more inclined to have a 3G version. I believe both companies charge $20 more a month for the privilege of using something you're already paying for, so for another $10 more you can have it separate from your phone all together. Stupid greedy connection providers.
