[Q] Anyone working on a CDMA build of the ICS Beta?

Always hesitant to start a thread (especially one that could come off to imply impatience), but I did want to kind of take the temperature on this.




Also, I'm using an unactivated CDMA Desire (an old US Cellular phone I bought off a friend) as an 'Android iPod-touch.'

Since I don't connect to cell towers at all, can I be agnostic when choosing CDMA vs. GSM specific ROMS? Or will my phone actually notice and choke if I try to run a rom built for a GSM device?

The biggest issue right now is the kernel, since htc does not have the cdma desire source code available that i know of... So until someone who knows what they are doing makes one or i can find out how to compile one myself it looks like we are stuck.

Im not an expert but the gsm rom on a cdma phone sounds like a bad idea and i would expect it to work as well as the "cdma rom" in the gsm desire ics thread (meaning booting to the white htc screen and no farther)
