Are you actually hoping that Motorola will repair it for free? Then you should be prepared to get disappointed. Probably, buying a new watch will be cheaper than a screen replacement.

Did you read the WIKI? (http://motoactv.wikispaces.com/home#Apps)
It seems that you did not as there are multiple recommendations for the boot loop and died battery case.
If this does not help, you probably need a factory cable to resolve your situation. Just search the thread for it.

Did you perform a FULL WIPE?
Yeah, I read the wiki, no such luck on getting out of the static "M" boot loop in my case. Factory cable is on the way, should have it in a week, until then my replacement MotoACTV will be here on the 31st

This somewhat broken one (for now) will be my test subject, and the factory cable will just be on standby incase I happen to commit another error when in fastboot mode and trying to google a resolution. Last time I try that :\

Regarding full wipes, is that done in CWR and deleting all the caches? I the 2 mentioned in the wiki, but I believe there was a 3rd I didn't try. I'd like to avoid zombie files coming back on fresh starts. I keep going back and forth between ClearD's rom and the other one with all the extra bits enabled (like accelerometer.)

Well, they're finally released! They have a few bug fixes (that no one seemed to encounter anyway) in addition to being updated. If you can, please don't download them right away if you don't NEED to. I'd really like these to be mirrored somewhere if possible as well.

In addition to this, I've also began work on HyprActv (finally), the boot animation is done (and there's a gif of it, if you can find it).

I will have them uploaded today, there will be a few changes you should know about ahead of time:

1) I will be REMOVING those rooted roms. AnyRoot is a far better solution anyway, and I want everyone to be using it.
2) I will be updating the 1.6.6 ROMs to 1.7.10 (kind of my gift for taking so long).
3) I've added a fix in recovery to help automatically remove anything done by the reboot-recovery.zip; now you won't get stuck in recovery =).
4) As I promised months ago, the new zips will include a flash-all.bat (and the files required to flash it).

Just keep an eye out for the links (and md5sums) in the other thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1534073

Ok after thumbing through most all these pages I just want to be sure. I have the 8gb motoactv and I want to use it for golf. If I understand right, I can root it using http://motoactv.wikispaces.com then flash a stock rom (where do I get?) then I can update like normal through Moto to latest firmware with golf? Please let me know if that is the right process, really appreciate it!

There is no reason to be concerned with the 1.6.6 stock images; flash the 1.7.10 stock and root it with AnyRoot.

I don't want to muddle this thread with basic android->motoACTV questions. Is there another thread y'all use for android specific questions pertaining to the motoACTV?
