just throwin this out there...I saw an HTC Flyer with a wifi calling setup. How hard (if at all) would this be? I know on some of the phones could run Google voice with groovip. Would it be possible to use a dialer apk and do something similar?

DONATE TO ME
Thumbs up RE: saw an HTC Flyer with a wifi

I am going to test a bunch of WiFi/VOIP apps that I have used on phones in the past with the MotoACTV and I'll let you know how those go. I'm pretty sure someone mentioned Skype Lite (the Verizon app?) working with the device, but there are many more to try... man we need a guide or wiki somewhere so we don't have to remember and refer to pages on this thread. This thread rocks, though!

Smile My first post

Hi!
First, thanks for great rooting soft and tips!

I have two question: Is there way to change color of font in all settings? It is very dark. See "settings" in pictures. And, is way to remove status bar from all applications? Some can run in fullscreen, but some cant.

Some apps installed and working well:
-Adobe Reader
-Air Control
-Angry Birds
-Boat Browser
-Calculator
-Dropbox
-Flit Keyboard
-GO launcher
-Jelly Defense
-K-9 Mail
-RootDim (RECOMMENDED - it can turn off backlight, great battery saver with screen on)
-SetCPU
-Terminal Emulator
-TrekBuddy (Great map SW)
-Trillian

And you can see my homemade wrist band

Nice, I was thinking of making one, but I don't think mine would have turned out that nice. I ended up buying the official one instead

Whats the point of setcpu, you can't change the cpu clock, can you?

I like the idea of rootdim, thanks!

You can lock ti to 300MHz only, by default. System is a bit slower, but it can save battery. I didnt test it in-depth so I don't think how much.

the 2 running apps I've found to install ok are allsports gps and i.run. allsports is nice but you have to change the density. I.run is sized perfect normal resolution but I haven't tested it real time yet. Both cache maps so no wifi/data needed. Just browse your planned route on wifi and you're good to go.

Desktop visualizer is a nice addition for custom fonts/shortcuts if you think the regular ones are too small. Also home switcher is must have. once you assign the top buttons for home and menu, you can just create a shortcut for homeswitcher and launch the stock motorola OS. want to go back to an android launcher, just hit your assigned home button.
