I spoke with technical support about the problem of not being able to update and told me that he will replace my MA
Is there hope in solving the problem rather than replacement because it will take a long time because I live outside the United States
You have to forgive me; What was your issue again? I'm sure it was mentioned but the posts pile on quick here between rooting, app installs, troubleshooting and Development.

MOTOACTV after rooting did not accept the official updates
I tried more than once "Return to Stock" first and then try to update always got serial number not found, unsuccessful upgrade

I believe that it was mentioned prior that once you root, the "return to stock" feature only brings you to an un-modified, rooted Motoactv. The fact that it is rooted will cause Moto to reject the update install.
I just bought another Motoactv and will have it in hand by the end of next week. I was gonna update it and get the guys whatever info they needed to further the development process so the rest of you guys can update to the latest firmware. Can ya wait another week or two?
Itslame, if you can, when you get it, do a system image pull and a recovery image pull. That should suffice, I hope. We *may* also need a boot image (if it will let you do it without flashing the modified boot image first), but those should be enough to let us "return to stock" with the latest updates, then root again.

Sorry to ask, I usually dont do this, but Im lost in a 74 pages thread.
So, if you are in a fasboot reboot loop, whats the "possible" solution? I cant get it to charge, I have tried turning it off (by pressing buttons) etc etc, but all I can get is Motorola Bootlogo (and starts overheating) or..fastboot looping.
Thanks
PS: Its a friend's motoactv, he flashed boot.img apparently with low battery.
1) Run the battery completely out. Easiest way to do this is just leave it in fastboot mode until it turns off.
2) Plug it in TO A WALL OUTLET to charge, it'll look like it's coming on, but should show the Moto Logo then a battery. Wait until you get a full charge.
3) Boot into Fastboot mode, flash boot.img, run the command "fastboot -w" and "fastboot reboot"
Itslame and ClearD, we actually have all the files we need, the issue now is getting an update.zip to properly flash the files...I've gotten as far successful flashes but it refuses to boot. Without a device in hand this is a very slow process. Itslame if you don't mind the most beneficial thing you could do with that extra device is send it to me for a few weeks. This will greatly speedvup the development process and within that time I'll be able to get all update.zips released for this. If you're interested let me know, if not I completely understand.

Hold both power, the volume buttons and start. Got me out of a fastboot reboot.

Jay and nosit, both instructions have been added to the wiki. Under the "button commands" part, to exit fastboot loop.
And I agree with CEnnis, can someone with a spare device loan it to them for a little bit?
