The bootoader and root steps will definitely work paul has confirmed in his thread that superboot will work on LTE devices. Im not sure if CWM has been tested on an LTE device but if it doesnt work the stock Recovery image can easily be flashed via fastboot. Once you have CWM then you just need to find a Rom that will work on LTE devices as im not sure if the Roms are different.
No need to be paranoid as the GN is close to unbrickable as long as you can enter fastboot
Mark.
Hope it's like the D1 which was nearly impossible to brick. I got the Verizon Nexus, can't play with it until Christmas . I do plan on at least getting root with it. I just put my D1 back to stock, using RSD lite and got a message that the flash "failed". don't know what happen, but the phone rebooted and all was well....go figure Thanks for the great info here.
Have u tried to update the drivers through device manager? Had issues but once my phone was plugged all it showed was an android, then right clicked computer, properties, device manager, find ur device n try to update the driver that way, it worked for me
Nevermind I fixed it. I uninstalled all samsung crap and disconnceted the phone and redownloaded pdanet and installed samsung drivers via that again and it worked.
I think I had samsung drivers previously installed and the system was tripping out on which on to use.
I am happily rooted now with light flow, titanium backup and all the good stuff.
Thanks for the guide. I'm a newb and made it part of the way, but am having an issue.
* PDANet installed fine
* fastboot-windows.exe devices - returns a string of numbers, some spaces, and the text 'fastboot'
* unlock proceedure worked - fastboot mode says 'Lock State - Unlocked'. 'Google' screen on startup also shows lock at bottom of screen as unlocked.
However, fastboot-windows.exe boot boot.superboot.img does not work. I have tried multiple times and get downloading 'boot.img' followed by one of these responses:
* FAILED (Data size too large)
* FAILED (Unknown status code)
* FAILED (remote: invalid command)
* ...
(The ... just sits there. I've let it sit for up to 15 minutes with no change.)
Trying to add the recovery image give the same results.
Phone can still be started to stock.
I have re-downloaded the img zipfile and it still can't install them.
Phone is LTE model. Any ideas on why I can get phone to show up with devices and fastboot reports unlocked, yet can't load img's is greatly appreciated.

Can you tell me what build the rom is? Go to the settings. about screen and look at the Android version and Build version.
I have a newer Galaxy Nexus ToolKit in the GSM forum and I am currently making insecure boot images of the newer builds for gsm and lte models so a more stable root can be applied so maybe you can be my guineepig for the lte version

MArk.
Happy to be guinea pig for LTE version. Android version is 4.0.2 and Build number is ICL53F.
Fwiw, I just tried the whole process again from another computer. Trying to unlock gave error that device was already unlocked (good). But, same problems trying to fastboot images.

Thanks for looking at this Mark.
