Yep, just did it. Took the update on the way home. Followed these steps and rooted. It did sit at the google logo with the lock icon for like 10 minutes though. Just wait.

Need some help. Followed instructions for PDANet. Followed instructions to enable Fastboot. Everything worked. After unlocking the bootloader and rooting my phone, it rebooted as stated in guide. After this, I am still showing ADB mode with my phone booted up and debugging is enabled; however, when going into Fastboot mode now, my phone will not start an ADB connection. In device manager, the phone doesn;t show up now. So, ADB connection shows up in device manager with phone turned on and booted up but not when I turn it off and go into Fastboot mode.

I am running Windows 7 and have the LTE Verizon Nexus. Thanks!

Anybody have an estimate on how long it takes? I've been at the Google screen for what seems like almost 15 minutes.

This is post ota - 4.0.2

By ADB connection are you trying straight ADB from the SDK? Haven't tried that yet. When on the boot manager screen (fastboot mode) can you still see your device if you try to run 'fastboot-windows.exe devices' ?

I've seen some people pass the 15 min mark and pull battery and boot just fine, I'd give it 5 or 10 more mins and if it doesn't go you should be ok to pull battery and boot.

I do not see my device in Windows Device Manager while at the boot manager screen. When typing 'fastboot-windows.exe devices' from a command prompt, it doesn't do anything.

No, not trying straight from ADB.

Thanks for the awesome directions, everything was perfect.
