haven't owned a galaxy nexus have you? or another phone without carrier/manufacturer branding? it's a big deal. aesthetics, status without the status, distraction and it just looks awesome, especially how the galaxy nexus pulls it off as a clean slab of black.

the two samsung phones s1 and s2 i used are without carrier label, only samsung logo,i fell no distraction. It,s not that bright to distract me

1] That's because the phone is in a glass case.
2] Good question, but the phone may be booting...
3] As tietherope said, it is a menu button. I'm actually really glad they're keeping this; it makes way more sense then a multitask button.

duh. would make for a nice design if it's similar to the gs3. i was thinking i might be able to live with a physical home button if it's... drum roll... led lit like the nexus one.

Maybe it's not a fake. But it would be so strange to use the exactly same design as Galaxy Nexus. Very strange. :|
