Etymotic headphones

I know it's a long shot, but has anyone tested any Etymotic mic headphones for arc?

I want to buy new headphones with slim design that's why I wouldn't buy the livesound.

My original arc headphones broke after months of use now.

I know this comes late for you, but they don`t work on Arc. I tried them with the original player and PlayerPro, but the text "the device isn`t supported" appears on the screen. I did at some point manage to get some muffled sound out of the etymotics when I fiddled with the plug.

Could it be possible to make them work with some kind of adaptor between the hp jack and the jack input?

you could open the mic and switch the cables. because sony has ground on the mic!
