Hi,

I am a complete newbie here and trying to do my first flash. I have read most of this thread and the Flashing Your first rom thread. Before flashing, I am abit confused by this instruction:

3. wipe data/factory reset in recovery -- a must if coming from a stock-based ROM

Where do I exactly do this? And if I put the custom rom/gapps in the internal storage, would this remove them as well?

Thanks for any help in advance.

You wipe the device in ClockworkMod Recovery...it won't touch the Internal Storage
Device: HTC One

Recovery: TWRP

Device: Google Nexus 4

Do you Guys notice that putting any live wallpaper other than phase beam will produce horrible lag. Does all roms have this lag with live wallpapers?

Confirmed, reproduced also on my GN. Running build 9, matrix kernel with 1.35 OC. Although I find this not so interesting. I prefer static background lol.

All the roms I've tried has this issue.

-----
Slightly off-topic, but was wandering why isn't this rom the most popular here
Rom control alone makes it hard for me to switch to another rom for more than a day

Looking forward to the surprises romanbb has for us in AOKP Build X

Wiped everything, flashed the rom followed by Franco kernel and everything's running very very smoothly.

Just a minor aesthetic feedback, during charging, the lightning symbol covers the % number. Would be better if it flashes between lightning & % battery.

All in all lovely rom for Christmas! Thanks roman!
