Others seams to have this problem on a daily basis and are in a better position to test it.

With tiamats kernel i did not have blackscreen

Ext4 and FAT32 for data, 512KB swap I think
The data partition hasn't been formatted for a while

no black screens here too using Tiamat's kernel.

but i had one unexpected reboot after using Teamviewer for some time, after closing it then locked the phone and it rebooted, not sure if it is kernel related.

anyway i think that's better than the black screen

EDIT: still every time my phone reboots i loose all my contacts and call logs!!

I have uploaded two logs about my phone not able to connect to my school campus's Wi-Fi.
Hoping for a solution to solve the wi-fi issue.
I hope this helps.

EDIT:
B.T.W

Planning to release a new version some time after this weekend. Whether it is going to be in the beginning of next week, in the middle or whatever, I don't know yet. But it should be before next friday. I will include whatever new stuff is out at that time, updated CM9, launchers, kernels etc. So if drewis get's cam fixed, then of cause this will be included as well.

And if someone could report back on whether Tiamat's kernel fixes black screen issue before then, I will include that as an extra option to Aroma. That's great news. Don't forget to remove gallery from the post-install script. It will install gallery a second time. Different apk names.

I also had the BSOD once. I've tried everything to reproduce it and provide a log, but no luck so far.
I use cayniarb's kernel.

I'm following every ICS thread there is and from what I read the NMR kernel might be the best one right now. That is probably until drewis releases his next one.
