This is a work around to get the function working.
Downloaded barnacle wifi tether from the market, go into settings and select skip wpa_supplicant. This should then let it work. Thanks to coolkid893 for the fix

thanks parot but could i ask you a favour, could you create a zip apk file of the stock apps as i want to replace the sense ones on another rom please,

caller, dialler, people, lock screen, etc. i want to replace sense completely

You can download OnceICS 1.0.1a if you need to use Sense UI. OnceICS 1.0.2b just remove Sense UI and replace with some app.

By the way I'll made some add-on later.
