im trying to add the samsung stock keyboard. i put it on my sd card then copy and paste it into system/app, but when i do ive gotten only errors. 1 stating that permission is denied and the only saying it is a read only file so it cant be pasted. anyone know what im doing wrong here?

When you navigated to /system/app, look at the top of the screen click on the tab on the right and of the left it should displayed R/W If it displayed R/O(read only)you will not able to paste.

Are you using a root file explorer like es explorer(what i use) or root explorer? If you using es explorer menu/settings scroll down and is root explorer checked?

Have you tried flashing it with the empty file route in OP?

ok so i used the empty file to install a couple things and got some weird results. so i tried to install the samsung stock keyboard, the weather/clock widget, and slacker radio. slacker radio is there and works fine, the weather/clock widget is nowhere to be found, and the keyboard showed up in input method but as soon as i enabled it it caused a forced stop and continued popping up that msg until i went into settings and changed the input back to swype.

WARNING...Noob question...

Will flashing this kernel unroot? Because isn't imnuts' kernel the reason we have root?

You can flash the TweakStock kernel without fear of losing root. Imnuts is an excellent developer who has been developing working on the Charge since the beginning, but his isn't the only kernel with root capabilities.

anyway to get stock visual voice mail back?

Ok so ive completely lost data, cant turn the toggle switch on. Ive restarted the phone a few times with no change. Ive switched between lte and cdma mode, niether work. Im at a loss.

Empty CWM file

Download both files. Open each in your favorite archive software. In the EP4DSysApps archive drill down to \system\app and find the apk you want to add back to TweakStock. Drag and drop that apk to the same folder on the EmptySysAppFlasher archive. Close it and push the now modified EmptySysAppFlasher. zip to the SD card on your phone. Boot your phone into recovery and select install zip from SD.
