Default Not able to update to 2.3.6 via OTA GNOTE indian

Hi,

I am unable to update my galaxy note to 2.3.6 via OTA. It gets downloaded but after reboot it says unable to update use kies or contact service center.

Can anyone help!.. One more question I am on rooted GNOTE with Cwm, will I lost root after update?

Flash this rom http://www.hotfile.com/dl/137391605/...1_INU.zip.html with Odin and reroot with CF root for KL3 with CFRootflasher

Can you please tell me steps to flash using odin and is this Indian firmware? Will it erase all phone content?

In addition to above what advantage I will get from 2.3.6 or should I wait for ICS?.. I am on 2.3.5 presently stock one.

Yea it will wipe your device. That`s why you should always make a titanium backup of your userdata. The link is the indian 2.3.6 software.
Start Odin, place the unzipped rom (.tar file !) in pda and hit start. Don`t change anything in Odin. F.reset time and autoreboot should be ticked off, nothing else.
Let it install and boot. Than enable usb debugging in settings and unknown sources. Put the screen of delay to 10 minutes. Connect with CFRootflasher (chainfire) and choose: not-rooted-yet. Let it install and you`re done. Reinstall titanium and put back userdata, that`s all.

A question should be put in the questions section and not in development
