[Q] Restoring Eris to stock, wrong bootloader?
Hey XDA buddies!
A cousin of mine was having problems with his Droid Eris, so he gave it to me to try and fix. When I tried to turn it on normally, the light would go off, and then back on (red). Couldn't figure out why, but got it to do a data wipe via the menus. After that point it would turn on, but with the three androids on skateboards... but never goes past that.
My best guess is that he or someone tried to root it or something. I'm honestly not really sure. Regardless I'm trying to run the eris 2.36.605.1 RUU and it runs for awhile and then fails with a "wrong bootloader version" or something similar.
The version of HBOOT on the phone is 1.49.000 and S-ON. I know the RUU said the current image version on the phone is 2.4x.something
I'm currently trying to flash the PB00 root file via the RUU, but does anyone have any other suggestions that might be better to attempt?
Thanks in advance and happy holidays!
Edit:
My current plan of attack:
Flash the PB00IMG via RUU, gain S-OFF
fastboot flash amon recovery
try wiping /boot
try RUU?
